HOW TO CREATE AN AVALANCHE?

As this was an extremely low-budget production the design posed an even greater challenge then average: how to create the beauty of the landscape and even an avalanche?

The world of the play was created by literally surrounding the audience by a backdrop and by positioning the spectators within the space in such a way that the acting, too, surrounded them. The abstract mountains were simply made of fabric on a system of pulleys, which was then released to create the Avalanche scene.
