Duygu Yıldız has been working as an architect at Avcı Architects since 2024. She graduated from Pamukkale University’s Department of Architecture in 2021 as the top student of her faculty and completed her master’s degree in Housing Production and Construction Management at Yıldız Technical University in 2025. During her studies, she received the Sustainability Encouragement Award in the Taksim Square Design Competition and shaped her academic journey around the themes of sustainability and minimalism.

Continuing her academic contributions across various platforms, Duygu presented papers at both international and national symposiums in 2025 and published research in scientific journals. Her works include “Evaluation of Minimalist Design Approach in Sustainable Construction” and “Contribution of Minimalist Approach to Sustainable Development Goals in Housing Production: Fahp-SEM Application”, as well as the article “Redefining Minimalism in Housing”, published in the Journal of Sustainable Engineering Applications and Technological Developments.

Duygu’s architectural approach is rooted in simplicity, functionality, and sustainability. She prioritizes creating meaningful connections with the context of each project while placing user experience at the core of her design process. For her, architecture is “the pursuit of essence by eliminating the unnecessary.” She is particularly inspired by projects where material and space meet in a simple yet powerful way, producing designs that are sensitive to nature, attentive to people, and rich in meaning.
