Beykoz Çubuklu Masterplan
Beykoz Çubuklu Masterplan transforms a steeply sloped site in northern Istanbul into a model for inclusive, nature-sensitive urbanism. Designed by Avcı Architects, it weaves topography, equity, and everyday life into a uniquely tiered district that respects both heritage and future.

Cascading homes along the hillside illustrate a city shaped by land — where community, equity, and landscape intersect.
A Hillside City for All
Beykoz Çubuklu Masterplan transforms a steep hillside in northern Istanbul into an inclusive, nature-sensitive district. Integrating high- and middle-income housing, civic facilities, and a retail plaza, the plan follows the land’s contours with cascading buildings, terraced gardens, and layered circulation. Anchored by the ‘Kasaba Meydanı’, it prioritizes equity, ecology, and community — creating a resilient urban fabric where landscape shapes life.

A civic heart shaped by the hillside, blending architecture, community, and landscape.
Architecture, Public Realm, and Sustainability
Topography shapes cascading buildings, terraced gardens, and green buffers, ensuring light, views, and ventilation. At the heart, the ‘Kasaba Meydanı’ unites mosque, school, civic spaces, and markets, transforming slope into community life. Equity is embedded as income groups share green valleys and infrastructure. With rainwater management, passive solar design, and 29% green space, the plan creates a resilient, inclusive district rooted in landscape.
