MEERA HASHIMOTO EXHIBITION

The works of Meera Hashimoto, a world-famous Japanese painter and art therapist, were first introduced to the visitors at The Circle in Istanbul. Hashimoto has touched the lives of countless people for 40 years by using a unique art therapy method that combines meditation and art. Hashimoto, who passed away two years ago, was helping people to rediscover the inherent inner creativity and was inspired by the sentence “Art is the bridge between us and life.” She still continues to touch people’s lives through her paintings that draw the viewer within through a moment of enthusiasm and celebration, sometimes with a clear calm, and go beyond a mere visual experience. The visitors were invited to The Circle to witness her unique way of working and to watch a video on her education of painting and art therapy.
