This housing project embodies Diamniadio’s rise as Senegal’s new cultural and administrative heart.

New Urbanism for a Rising Region

Located adjacent to Stade du Sénégal and within walking distance of major civic and hospitality anchors like Radisson Blu, Dakar Arena, and the Ministry of Education, this masterplan captures the essence of Diamniadio’s transformation. From a distant industrial corridor, Diamniadio is emerging as a new administrative and cultural heart for Senegal. This housing project acts as both habitat and statement, shaping the future while rooted in the present.

The 68,000 sqm masterplan weaves together retail, housing, and communal green spaces, with a social club at its heart.

Spatial Strategy: Designing with and for the Land

The 68,000 sqm site is shaped by two major axes: A commercial street front with small retail units, cafés, and shops integrated at ground level, an inward-facing residential courtyard system, providing community gardens, walking paths, and layered privacy. The project is divided into three construction phases, each with its own green spaces, water features, and housing clusters. A social club forms the communal core, surrounded by: Running tracks, Swimming pool, children’s playgrounds, shaded gathering areas under Baobab trees, the national emblem of resilience and rootedness.

Social life unfolds around terraces, pools, and shared green spaces, fostering community and leisure.
