Istanbul Airport Turkish Airlines Domestic Lounges

Istanbul, Türkiye
2019

Redefining the domestic lounge experience with Turkish hospitality flowing together. The domestic lounges at Istanbul Airport are part of a 19,000 sqm lounge network, designed to embody Turkish Airlines’ brand philosophy of ‘flow’. Developed by Softroom, the lounges are centered around the signature ‘Flow Wall’, an architectural element that seamlessly connects spaces while guiding passengers through an intuitive journey. Designed as self-contained mini terminals, the two domestic lounges feature their own drop-off, check-in, and departure areas, ensuring a smooth and exclusive travel experience.

A Terminal Within a Terminal

More than just a waiting area, the two domestic lounges function as self-contained mini terminals—complete with private drop-off zones, dedicated check-in counters, security screening, and direct boarding access. This spatial autonomy ensures that frequent flyers and business travelers experience comfort and efficiency from the very first step of their journey.

The Flow Wall, a striking kilometer-long installation by Softroom and realized by Avcı Architects, acts as both a unifying structure and a storytelling element—shaping the passenger journey through fluid, intuitive spatial transitions.
