In 2009 AVCI ARCHITECTS won joint first prize at the first ever sustainability-oriented TOKI competition for the İstanbul Kayabaşı region. The project proposed human-scale facilities around shared courtyards in an eco-friendly community. Information on progress of the development of Kayabasi so far is available in the February issue of XXI Magazine.
