SITE VISIT TO THE GABON CITY OF DEMOCRACY PROJECT
The Avcı Architects team recently visited the construction site of our City of Democracy project in Libreville, Gabon. This visit allowed us to observe the ongoing construction progress firsthand and strengthen coordination among the project teams.
The City of Democracy Project is a visionary urban development initiative reflecting Gabon’s ambition for the future. The masterplan features a world-class congress center, a presidential palace, presidential villas, and public recreational areas, creating an integrated urban development that harmonizes modern architecture with Gabon’s cultural identity.
Key highlights of the project include: Congress Center: A 3,000-seat main hall, a grand banquet hall, and a presidential amphitheater. Presidential Palace: A landmark of strong architectural expression and national representation. Public Spaces: A zoo, recreation and sports facilities designed to foster community engagement and interaction.
The Presidential Villas are designed as private and secure residences, seamlessly integrated into the natural landscape. Their layout emphasizes privacy and exclusivity while maintaining harmony with the surrounding environment, offering a unique residential experience for high-level officials and distinguished guests.
This site visit marks another step forward in transforming design into reality and reflects our commitment to delivering high-quality and context-sensitive architecture for Gabon’s future.
